Internship and Industrial training placement are programmes that allow students to gain practical (hands-on) work experience and academic credit at the same time. They are supervised programmes of work and study which involve student in hospitality sectors, travel- tourism, management and corporate sector, IT industry (software hardware ) obtained in the course of their study.
An internship is considered as para-professional or pre-professional experience which gives students an opportunity to apply knowledge from the classroom in an employment setting consistent with the student’s choices of hospitality career field. Internship may be paid or unpaid, but the student gain valuable work experience and the opportunity to see and seen by possible future employers. Internship placement are usually for period of 3-6 months and it is compulsory for the students to go on internship as required from time to time during their course.
